First Link Safety Training was started in May of 2000, by an Arizona certified Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician.
Sonja has been a firefighter and EMT for over 15 years. She is also a Firefighter Instructor/Evaluator, and is currently
involved with producing video training tapes that are sent to 2 small, volunteer fire departments in southern Arizona.
Sonja began teaching CPR as an EMT instructor in the early 1990's, and then the opportunity presented itself for her
to start her own business teaching CPR and First-aid. That soon expanded and she started teaching Bloodborne Pathogens
and Automated External Defibrillation. A short time later, she added Fire Safety and Emergency Preparedness. She
is now also authorized to teach a course called "Emergency Medical Response" which is a combination of CPR, first-aid,
AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness, all in one class.
